Responsibilities
Responsibilities and Duties This describes typical duties for the Machine Operator – Scrap position, subject to change as organizational needs require.
- Operate the briquette (puck) machine and coolant recovery system, adjusting as needed to maximize output.
- Segregate alloys, ensure bins/gaylords are correctly marked, and stage empty containers for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
- Pull, stage, prepare, pack, and label materials according to customer specs, delivery dates, and bills of lading (BOL).
- Create BOLs, obtain driver proof of identity, and secure required carrier signatures.
- Safely drive a fork truck to transport materials, bins, skids, and dock items throughout the plant.
- Load and unload delivery trucks efficiently.
- Perform regular cycle counts, daily paperwork, dock audits, and inventory tag verification.
- Enter processing data into the computer system and generate accurate material tags.
- Strive to meet customer expectations while adhering strictly to safety rules, quality standards, and company handbook policies.
The essential functions of this role include:

- working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
